hello....

I would love to hear of a good shop in either Canmore or Calgary Alberta that does "out of province inspections". A "jeep friendly" shop would be really appreciated.

I have a 1999 XJ with 3.5 lift and JCR Offroad bumpers and rear upper and lower quarterguards... i don't want to find the wrong shop and have any troubles with the bumpers etc. Everything is good on the XJ, I just don't want to have any hassles...

They do inspections??? GEEZ !!!! Glad I don't have to deal with that, Moved from Vancouver 6 years ago now in New Mexico and man is the wheeling awesome here just miss the mud there (don't miss the rain) Coming back that way at Christmas with the Jeep LOL will try to get a little mud on the tires while avoiding the family.

Way old thread, but for future reference for other people, and if you didn't get it done yet. Very few shop do OOPI since the government raised the prices on the license, all I know of is Canadian tire but when my truck had it OOPI done they made me replace the lugnuts because they were missing the chrome cover. So be fair warned about going there. Canmore, eh? I was just up there visiting my bro.He's looking at buying an XJ, looks like we might have someone to wheel with!

well... I did find a shop to do the out of province inspection. I asked around in Calgary and one of the 4x4 shops recommended Folk Automotive, said they would send their rig's there for OOPI's. They won't let anything slide... but that's not what I was looking for.

From what I was told, there are only 1 or 2 that would pass a lifted truck for this inspection in Calgary. My truck had a lift put on it just before driving to Alberta so everything was still nice and new.

It would be nice to get a few Jeeps together from Canmore sometime... too bad the FLUZ land use areas are over an hour away from here. but they are pretty sweet.
