No, but it's a good indication that the owners don't mind. Cops only care for non street legal vehicles. The trails are old roads that actually show up on gps, so as long as your papers are up to date, everything's gravy. I've only heard of atv's and dirt bikes being hassled

That's a terrible justification, and that kind of attitude is what creates a bad image for the off-roading community a whole.

A quick search showed the following:

Quote:
The area commonly known as Raglan Pits located in Durham Region, east of Mt. Carmel is off limits for ALL uses, including motorized and non-motorized activities. It is located on privately owned land and the owners have authorized Durham Regional Police to enforce all applicable laws in the area.

Well they're obviously not going to say welcome all. Until I'm asked not to be there, I'll still hit it the odd time, there's nowhere else local.

I am a member of the OF4WD and they have a trail index. It is great as it gives you a rating and suggested equipment to safety get though the trail. Some are a little off and if you find a trail that is not on it you can add one. Found lots of great trails using it. The plus is you know you are allowed to be on the trails.

Chiming in from Southern Ontario as well! I just recently joined www.jeepcentral.ca, OF4WD and jeepforum as these were the 3 places I was told to get great info for Jeeps and offroading in Ontario! I drive a 2012 jk wrangler and can't wait to work on it and get on the trails

Do trail passes need to be purchased like ATV and sled passes?

There is no pass needed to run the trails, although to get access to the OF4WD database a membership with them is necessary.

Access to the OF4WD database and knowing they are trying to arrange for more legal trails is worth it for $24 a year (or whatever it costs).

You can do a lot of the 2 to easier 3s in the database with a stock Jeep.
