AB - Trail Runs? Get togethers?

Well, we might as well make use of this new forum.

Anyone know of any runs happening soon in Alberta? What areas? I'm in the Edmonton area myself. I'd even be up for just a bunch of Jeepers getting together for a short cruise around town and some wings.

Would love to go and do a wings-run, but I am in Calgary, so that would be a bit of a drive for just wings

Would you like to meet in Red Deer and do wings there - say for the Canadian Expo in September (1.5 weeks away)?

Wow. That's not a bad idea at all. I didn't even know that was going on. I'll have to see how many Jeepers I can get to come down to it with me.

Are you very familiar with Red Deer? There's an Earl's and a Boston Pizza on Gaetz Ave on the south end. Either of those would be nice and close to the event.

I haven't decided yet, but I might volunteer to help with it as well through the AB4WDA (Alberta 4 Wheel Drive Assocn.) ... as requested at 4wheeler.ca (Calgary-based website, but lots of Albertans on it and a few from BC and SK too).

Last year the Expo was a hit, but there was some flooding happening that weekend here in Calgary, so I stuck around here to help a bit. This year the rains have been nice to us - no flooding

Well it's settled. My brother and I will be going for sure. Hopefully I can convince some others to come too.

I know alot of people from Calgary are heading up there. I figure that I would do the "sleep-in-Jeep" thing because I don't have my roof-top tent for the Unlimited yet

Saving up the money for Dave's Rack and then put a tent on its top

Hey buddy,

You actually missed it - the pictures from it are amazing!

I'll be uploading my pictures (when I get a chance) to the 4Wheeler.ca website as well as here. You can see lots of great shots at 4Wheeler.ca right now

Hey Wayne,

This was the second Expo, and they are already planning next years expo

I checked my SD card's pictures, and they are so dark it would not look good on the forum without some major editing.

I can only wait for my camera to get repaired so I can take good pictures again!

You should make a plans for the weekend next year. Camp at Sylvain Lake, do the 20 min drive into RedDeer - then back to camping again in Sylvain!
