Trailer wiring harness question

Hi, I took the Hoppe's wiring harness off my '00 TJ when I traded it for my '06. It seems to hook up the exact same except the left blinker (on the trailer) never works. I've reinstalled it, tried a different trailer, used a plug-in tester. The left blinker never test out. BUT the Jeep's fine.

Did Jeep change something in their harness or pigtails?

Do you have a multimeter? Do you get any current on what should be the left turn signal wire when activated?

I think I have one somewhere. I'll give that a try, But the harness worked fine on my '00 jeep. I'm also going to email Hoppy (harness manufacturer) about this too.

But thanks, I'll try to test it today.

They changed it in 05 if I am correct. I bought a harness for my 05 and the left signal did not work. I called the dealer and he told me the guy gave me the 04 and older one. I exchanged it. The new harness I got connected on the opposite side of the first one I had. Now it all works great. I think it is connected to the drivers side now, not 100% sure though.

Most likely if you find out what wires trigger the lights you're having problems with, you could modify the harness you have to work no problem.
