Trailer Value

Been looking at a used 2009 rice 18ft car hauler. Channel tongue and frame. 7k rating and brakes on both axles.

Looks great. Wasn't used a whole lot and tires have decent tread left. Its a trade in at a local dealer.

What's a fair price I should be looking for?

Link to webpage for specs. http://www.ricetrailers.com/wp/our-p...s/7kseflatbed/

Thanks for the help

I'm thinking that is about a $1500-1800 trailer used.

$1500 would be a fair price, trailer is probably $2200 or so new.

Not sure about the rest of the country but here in Wa. trailers tend not to lose much value. If that trailer was for sale used here I would expect to pay between $1800 and $2000. but could be bought new for $2000-$2250. That being said I got a screaming deal on mine at $2200 but its a 10k with a 2 5/16 bulldog coupler. Also if I was to buy an 18' trailer I would get a 10k. I did that because I wanted to be able to tow anything I have, IE if my truck were to break down I would feel comfortable putting that on the trailer. I can also load the Jeep with a few quads on it and be well under the weight limit.
