Towing with a 4.0L/AX15 '94 Jeep YJ???
Need a little help. . .we are evaluating our vehicle needs/buying a new vehicle as a daily driver and thinking of upgrading our '94 YJ (4.0L/AX15) to do our towing.
What would be reasonable to expect to be able to tow with our Jeep? I've never tried to tow with it before (part of the upgrade would be to install a tow hitch to the Jeep) so I don't have any idea what would be reasonable and not abusive to the Jeep.
The only thing we can foresee towing at the moment would be a small utility trailer capable of holding two quads (an '01 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4, ~545 lbs., and an '01 Yamaha Grizzly 600 4x4, ~639 lbs. according to the factory literature) or two sportbikes on the same trailer. Right now we have a large trailer with a '79 F-150 to tow with, but our looking to downsize our trailer since the trailer we have is MUCH larger than we need.
Thanks for the help!
