Tandem Axle Spring question

I just converted my 18ft car trailer to SOA from SUA. When i got it back on the ground, the front shackles of the front axle are under the equalizer and the back shackles are above the equalizer bar. which way are they supposed to be and why do you suppose they fell like this?

I can take pics, but it prob wont be for a few days being that we are supposed to get POUNDED with snow (14 inches).

The shackles are supposed to be above the equalizer. They fall like that when they are hanging loosely. When you get them both above the equalizer and tighten the bolts down they will stay just fine.

Put the trailer back in the air and loosen the spring bolts. All you have to do is lift the axle and it will flip back to the upright position. You may have to move the equalizer to allow enough room for the shackle to flip, but it shouldn't take much. Then just have a buddy tighten the bolts.
