Right side trailer blinker/brake light not working, running light works fine

After searching here and the internet at large, I'm unable to find a lead for this problem.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out where in my F150's wiring the problem is. The symptoms are that the right side trailer lights have functioning running lights (work with the headlights) but the turn signal and brake light on that side do not work, regardless of whether the headlights are on or not.

So far, I've replaced the fuse in the truck, and I know it's not the trailer (which is a 7 pin connector) because I also have a 4 pin set of magnetic lights which exhibit the same symptoms.

Any thoughts on what would cause this? The only thing I've seen online is that "some trailers ground through the hitch," but that shouldn't be a problem with the 4 pin magnetic lights, since they have nothing to do with a trailer.
