After looking for one for months, I finally found one in Vancouver BC. Actually, it found me! I posted an add on CL in Van, and a guy who was "thinking" about selling his sent me an e-mail and said I could have it if I was interested? Wow, after a year of looking for the right one...I was stoked.
I wish I had the skills to do my own trailer, you guys Rock. I ended buying a AT Chaser to pull behind my 06 LJ basically everything that was inside my rig is now in the trailer. I also have an ARB fridge and a group 31 AGM in the nose box, so far I can go 4 days w/out a charge before I hook it up to my LJ and slooowly charge it up.

Can you post a few of those pic's up here? I deleted my FB account and am unable to see your trailer.
first big welding project last summer. Challenge was to build a offroad trailer for as cheap as i could (still in college so i cant afford much). Total invested so far just over $500 for the whole thing. Scrounged the metal from local farm junk yard with permision (minus the front basket). Got the pine side tongue and groove and the iron wood deck from a family friend and my uncle. Got the wheels for my birthday. The rest of it was a whole lot of sweat, blood and tears. Not quite done but will have to wait for next summer.

here is my concept design that I produced in sketchup. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...e=3&permPage=1 and http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...e=3&permPage=1 I want to build something that is able to hold a motorcycle or 2 depending on the size of the bikes. I built the rack on top that will be used for kayaks, canoes, bikes or even a roof top tent. there is a lockable storage box on the front. for the suspension I was thinking of using a straight axle with leaf springs but I am now leaning toward a trailing arm suspension with an air bag system so that when I am using the roof top tent I can level the trailer from side to side and there will be a front swivel jack to level the trailer from front to back. I am also looking to include a hand brake like I have seen on some military trailers.
I can't wait to tear it up in the mall parking lot with you some day Jay... we could park on each other's tires all flexed out taking up 4 parking spots, walk in the mall with our jeep keys dangling for everyone to see, hit up some abercrombie and fitch, then go back outside and hang out by the jeeps for a few hours... maybe get risky and drive over some curbs.. :highfive:
