LJ towing with 35's

I just replaced my 06 LJ with an 06 LJ Rubi.

I towed my 3500lb travel trailer with the LJ running 32" AT's and it towed fine.

For the LJ Rubi, I was considering 35" KM2's or XTerrains, but was wondering if the larger tire size would put too much stress on the rear axle to tow at the 3500lb capacity. (Also planning to add the OME lift w/ 1"BL)

Any LJ owners running 33's or 35's care to chime in?

My father has an LJ Rubi with 35's and it has towed 3 800cc fourwheeler and about 200 lbs of tools and tool boxes and it towed just fine. Just the stopping part that was kind of tricky. Hope this helps some.

You need to give yourself plenty of room to stop. Other than that it should be fine.

Thanks for the input, I had a prodigy brake controller on the old LJ, grabbed that when I was stripping parts off it at the body shop, and I always leave plenty of braking distance too.

I also use a Reese weight distribution hitch (which I highly recommend).

I'm sure I'll be fine, though I've decided to stick with 33's.
