How to Install Wiring Harness for Towing on a GC '96

Anyone on line here installed a towing wiring harness on a GC '96 or similar (which wasn't equipped with the towing package stock)? At least I don't think mine has that option as I had to install the hitch itself.

What's involved, kit cost estimate, any help/ info is appreciated.

I haven't on a GC, but I did on my 98 Cherokee, which ought to be pretty similar.

It was DEAD simple. I bought the factory tow harness kit and I just had to remove an inner trim panel from the rear of the XJ, unplug part of the tail light harness, plug the tow wiring harness inline and feed it through a grommet in the body.

Couldn't have been much easier.
