Been looking for the curb weight of a CJ and it seems to right around 3200-3500 and my LJ's capacity is 3500. I know towing with a bigger vehicle would be better but currious if it were possible/practicle? I have towed a simular weighted trailer with no brakes 100 miles no problem (OD off).

The purpose would be to take both jeeps to the trail and back about 100 miles each way and only have one person driving. We would probably drive both on the road when we got into the mountains so we don't over tax the LJ.

Just caravanned from Detroit to Oak Ridge Tn with a friend towing his TJ with a new KJ Unlimited. Over 500 mile each way no prob. However, we both use Brake Buddies in our towed vehicles. About $ 900 but easy to use and well worth the piece of mind. I use an Envoy to pull my YJ.
