Camping Trailer Suspension-- Yj Leaf Springs?

I have an old set of stock springs for my YJ from when I converted it to SOA. Will their longer length than the traditional small trailer springs give the trailer a better on/off road ride? Looking to keep the cargo from too harsh a ride, and maybe work better for off road rocks. I can remove a leaf if I need to make the ride softer. Plan on 33" rubber, and a height/width to match my SOA jeep if that makes a difference. Also have a set of leafs off a 3500# Coleman, but they look like they came off a 1-ton truck in comparison to the YJ springs.

Figuring no more than maybe 1000# gross weight for the trailer, so I don't want it to bounce around like a bronco behind my YJ.

I responded to your thread in the Fab Shop as well (I'm a forum moderator there, but have my Vendor hat on right now).

Feel free to call me while I'm at work.
