Build Off Road Trailer

Hi all, I am new here. After reading all the off road trailer threads, I decided to build my own. I will start building my frame and I have decided on going with a tub. Does anyone know where I can get a tub. I did email Sierra 4x4, in the States, but I am located in Calgary, hopefully there is a place locally or perhaps in BC or SasK. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have an M101 for sale.

There is a guy in Sask that makes tubs.

Is this what you are looking for?

PS ... that is a walking beam axle and it rides very smoothly on trails.

The only change I would make is to have a double-swivel tongue. That is in the works - I have the basic idea mapped out in my brain.

I have more pics of that one and a flat deck that I also made.

Is that the kind of tub you are looking for? If so I can track down the maker's name and contact info. I think he is from around Preeceville.

Yes, can you post more pictures of the trailer you built.

I like this tub look because it is like the Cdn M101, but so far its too much money. I've been quoted $850. Plan B is to build a box, instead of a tub. I make the box or tub removeable so I can use the trailer as a flat deck as well.

I didn't take any pics of just the trailer without any background "noise," but here are a few:

The frame:

The tub (upside down):

What these trailers can hold:

They come with a lid so that everything in them stays dry.

I am probably going to sell both of mine and build one that is a tub trailer, a flat deck, a log hauler, and maybe a few other things.

The flat deck as I was building it:

The flat deck in use at my camp:

Here is a shot of the walking beam axles:

If you cruise through youtube you will see some pretty good trailers and can get some ideas from them.

My next trailer is going to have extra pieces in that I will have the ability to pull off my tub frame (or at least a part of it) and use the trailer as a log hauler, or use it as just a flat deck, or a tub trailer with a flat deck on top, and it will also have a fairly high canoe rack on it so that I can move longer materials (besides the canoe).

The possibilities are almost endless since I picked up my Lincoln PowerMig 255.
