Any pointers on what to do with it? It is blue, so I'm going to strip it down and paint it.

I just finished my build on my '52 M100. The suspension was trashed, so I swapped out the springs, pivot bolts, c-shackles, u-bolts and shocks. I also threw some early CJ tail lights, rewired it, repaired the cut-out tailgate and cut off lunette. Then I painted it to match my JKU. There are some details in the build thread for my Jeep in my signature.

A lot depends on what your plans are and what kind of shape it's in.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Great stuff, guys. I'll be following up on your threads. I intend on a complete overhaul, repair, wiring and paint job - even though it is road worthy and registered as of now. I haven't seen it in person yet - I'm still at work! My wife went and put a downpayment on it to hold it until the weekend. Buddy has a custom-made canvas cover for the top. I'll post pictures when I pick it up. Only have the online pic for now. $325! He also had a newer '80's M101(?) - Canadian military "Iltis" trailer. My friend bought that one and had dibs, think I'd prefer the Korean war one anyhow. In any condition, I thought it was a great deal!

I've got mine home safe and sound...You started yours yet? Need to figure out what hubs I need to match the JK wheels.
So, he gave you $50 off did he?

Yup, he asked for $325 so I gave it to him happily! Two cans of paint-stripper and I've got it down to the red primer coat. Some bad rust on the front driver side and rear passenger side-walls. Grinder and welder repairs, definitely. Will have to strip the axle and see how it is inside, the tube is severely pitted. Will be an interesting re-build!
