I have a 2000 excursion that im going to use to pull my trail rig and a race truck. Is there any long term issues when using these trucks to haul?

You will have no issues keep the trans serviced regularly. The 4r100 can be a weak link but it is not as big of an issues as the diesels have. Other then that just regular service.
