94 dodge ram towing?

I am looking to either buy a trailer or use a friends trailer to tow the jeep to Rausch creek which is about 2hrs away and if anyone knows 83 in PA has a lot of hills.

The truck has the Magnum 5.9l 360 V8 with 2500 springs (thats what we were told, the guy hauled cinder blocks and bricks before us for a living and it doesnt sag or anything). What all do I need or should I get the haul it?

Here is a picture of it....

Does it have the factory tow package? Transmission cooler would be a good idea. You will need to take it easy on the hills and don't plan to be passing people when towing your rig.

With my old truck I had all kinds of issues with tranny temps (1999 Ram 1500) while towing my XJ to RC/Paragon. Stepped up to a Ram 2500 Diesel and never turned back.

I have no clue what it has.

I will have to check that out, I would love to get a CTD so bad, but hell the truck isn't even mine.

A little OT, but, Is that a JVFC plate on the front? I grew up in Forest Hill right off Morse Rd. My grandfather was the architect that designed the firehouse.

Pretty neat.

No ****

I live about 2mins from Morse ...my sister is a member there...small world huh.

Though, I forgot to look at the truck for towing stuff today. I doubt I will even beable to find a trailer which sucks though.

Look in front of the radiator for a little radiator which would be the transmission cooler. That will tell you if it had the tow package.

But, that rig will tow a Jeep on a reasonable trailer with trailer brakes with no problem. Get a proportional brake controller.

I use a ram 2500 with a 360 to tow my cj. Its a little under powered for the big hills, I just get a bunch of speed before the hill. make sure you have trailer brakes.

I was talking to my sister fiance and he said not to tow with it cuz it overheats and leaks fluids if run hard...but he said my dads truck would be perfect for it....2005 Chevy 1500 V8 and it has the tow package.
