Last week JeepForum came under attack by
a DDoS SYN Flood attack. Thursday,
Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning we
struggled to keep JF online as many of
you noticed.
This amount of downtime is not a
I thought I'd start this thread for 3
reasons:
1) documenting the work slows things
down and provides an opportunity for the
brain housing group to engage - maybe I
won't screw up so much.
2) if
As the title states. I've recently just
been looking at different ideas and I'm
almost certain I want to build an XJ or
something along those lines when I get
the TJ buttoned up. (Needs some armor

Thought you guys might appreciate/enjoy
this build. I've had few build threads
here on JF over years, TJ, XJ, etc..
However, this is by far the deepest I've
ever gone into a build.

Recent aftermarket Jeep product
introductions indicate a real change in
how they are now being designed for our
Jeeps vs. the “old days”. Old designs

Recently I actually have had
the opportunity to use the
valets at some fairly high end
hotels. The first time, I
took a friend with a broken
leg to a fairmont in a
mountain resort town to go see
a photography contest.
Because his leg was broken and
I was driving, I used the
money I normally would have
had a few drinks with to pay
valet to keep the jeep close
to the doors. Now I
specifically asked where he
was parking it because the
computer I had just got (and
that is basically worth more

So I bought a 93 ZJ I6 and
have plans to lift it 4.5 and
throw some 33's under it. But
first I have to fix a few
things. One thing thats really
bothering my is that when I
turn my jeep on it shakes a
pretty good amount, or at
least enough to make me
curious. When its in park it
seems to be fine, as soon as I
put it in reverse or drive it
starts shaking... When I give
it gas and start going its
super smooth and you wouldnt
think a single things wrong.
Just spent $1600 getting it
flushed and tuned...
I have been trying to figure
out the largest tires that can
be put on my WK without
lifting it. I bought a set of
take-off wheels and tires from
a Wrangler Rubicon 265/70R17.
I had to use 1/4" wheel
spacers ($20) because the rim
rubbed on the brake caliper.
I have them mounted with the
spacers, and they do not rub
at all. Lock to lock and
loaded hitting bumps and ramps
and its fine. No modification
neccessary. The only thing is
apparently the tire pressure
sensors are different on a
Wrangl...
The WTF-J's bare aluminum tub floor
wasn't getting it anymore and needed
something. I got an $800 quote from
Line-X for lining the tub, but that was
